Drop-off Studio Programs am/pm time slots
What do you get when you combine your budding and energetic children with vast amounts of art supplies, skilled art teachers, and dash of glitter? Dandelion Creative Space’s Summer Art Camp! Just sign up your children, and clear off a wall to display their new art, because we got you covered!
Summer at Dandelion Creative Space is packed with art, imagination, and hands-on fun for young creators ages 8 and up! From June 23rd–27th, join us for Sculpt and Create, a sculptural adventure where participants build with clay, wire, wood, and paper to craft unique three-dimensional art. Choose either the 9–11 am or 1–3 pm session and get ready to explore form, balance, and structure through creative problem-solving.
Next, from July 7th–11th, Tinker Lab Art Camp invites young artists to put on their thinking caps and dive into a world of imaginative construction. With sessions at 9–11 am or 1–3 pm, artists will work with cardboard, plastic, and more to bring their ideas to life using a variety of tools and techniques.
From July 21st–25th, our Creative Learning: Exploring Puget Sound camp runs from 9 am–12 pm. This special session blends science and art as we explore one of the nation’s largest estuaries through creative projects, learning activities, and even a field trip that celebrates the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Then, from July 28th–August 1st, our Mini-Art Camp (9–11 am or 1–3 pm) is inspired by the classic LEGO® world. Artists will create miniature masterpieces using polymer clay, cardboard, wire, foam, and more to build fun, functional spaces for their favorite mini-figures.
Finally, from August 11th–15th, we’ll host Doodle and Canvas (9–11 am or 1–3 pm), a fine arts crash course where young artists explore a wide range of techniques—from painting and watercolor to collage and mixed media—designed to boost confidence and ignite their personal creative journeys.
For those who want to spend even more time creating, an Open Studio option is available to extend the day. Each camp costs $120 and is limited to just 10 participants, ensuring plenty of individual attention and space to grow. Let the summer of creativity begin! Explore Art in Depth
Our camps allow children to explore art topics and techniques in depth over a span of just a day or a whole week! They will also be encouraged to explore their interests and to try new things with the support from our amazing in-house artists! The best part of all may be that all of the mess is made here in the studio and your kitchen at home is clean and paint free!
Summer Camp is offered Weekly!
Our Summer Camps are offered on a weekly basis throughout the school-scheduled Summer Vacation( Mid-June - August). You may sign up your child for as many summer camps as you like! Check back here in May to sign up for our weekly Summer Camps!
Positive Social Environment
At Dandelion Creative Space, we strive to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment. We welcome our differences and celebrate each other as individual artists! Children will get to see other art and explore their interests side by side others doing the same!
Summer Camps Build Essential Skills…
With 2020 behind us, we believe that Summer Camps and our programs are more important than ever because children have missed out on so many have been isolated from peers and social interaction.
Summer camps provide students the opportunity to develop resiliency, experience diversity, and build problem solving skills. Children are also able to develop a sense of community as they collectively build toward common goals. According to Dr. Eve F. Whitmore, a clinical psychologist from Western Reserve Psychological Associates in Stow, Ohio, one beneficial aspect of summer camp is the opportunity to learn to “be more independent, [and] practice making decisions for oneself.” Read more about the benefits to summer camps here.
